This collection of teaching resources is aligned to the Fehi Madharusa themes: island, ocean, waste and innovation. These include children's stories, lesson plans, teaching ideas and whole school approaches to sustainability.
These resources have been created and compiled by educators, students and alumni from the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.
These resources are free for schools and teachers to access.
The collection of children's stories below can be used to teach students about sustainability. The collection has been organised according to the Fehi Madharusa themes.
Each story is accompanied by teaching resources, including lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and suggested activities.
In a whole school approach to sustainability, the school community integrates sustainability into their daily programs and school life.
Our team has compiled examples of successful whole school sustainability initiatives from around the world.
These examples highlight some outstanding but achievable practices in schools around the world. Projects do not have to be on a large scale to be effective.
